Malcolm made some test strings for me and voila, after dozens of trial runs I think he nailed it. And things have progressed after that. How they feel and sound... They are made to be as flexible and open sounding as possible with a clear presence in the mid but never harsh sounding in the upper mid and treble. Made with a very high spec steel quality they last a very long time and they still sound very open after the upper treble starts to fade.
